As Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Aden leads the technical innovation that enables Coull’s services for bloggers, publishers and brands.
Aden initially started work as a special needs teaching assistant while doing social worker training in his evenings. He found the software they worked with was expensive and unintuitive so decided to build his own, focusing on creating software that was more engaging and would enhance children’s learning experience.
It was a great success and caught the attention of software companies. Excited by new possibilities Aden moved to Penant Training Systems in Cheltenham, working on aircraft simulations, and then to another firm to work on submarine simulation for sonar equipment and torpedoes.
Aden then went freelance, traveling the country working for different agencies, including work for Nokia and Dyson. It was during this time he met Irfon Watkins, and it was here that the idea of what Coull now does started to grow.
He joined Coull in 2008 as CTO and hasn’t looked back since. In fact. Aden’s focus is always on the future, constantly looking at ways to improve Coull’s technology and break into new markets.
“We've built this team to be disruptive and shake up an industry that has become stale and comfortable at the expense of innovation. Everyone in it owns that ambition.”
